Text: John 10: 7-10
Introduction: Life is a gift from God the Creator. God purposefully created life that we may enjoy the fullness of it. Today life is being threatened from the womb to the tomb with war, poverty, oppression, militarism, human greed, etc. Under these circumstances, achieving the fullness of life seems to be a remote possibility (John.10:7-10). But we have Jesus Christ as our example in that while He was here on earth, He lived his live to the fullest, may this be our portion as we study through this outline in Jesus Name.
Jesus Christ: A Man of Sorrows, But Happy “Trials, suffering, temptations and hardships are part of everyday Christian’s life. Christ was not an exception when it came to trials and suffering. We have seen that He experienced joy and left it with His disciples and with the Church, through His Spirit given on Pentecost (Acts 2). Yet Christ was also a man of sorrow (pain), and acquainted with grief. Isaiah. 53:3. Let us look at some of the things Jesus did in order to have lived His life to the fullest.
A) Worry Not: One of the most talked about topic Jesus had with the people during His earthly ministry is about material wealth because Jesus knows it is close to everyone’s mind. Our chief concerns about our immediate needs and wealth Matthew 6:25-27
B) Love Much: The most important aspect about God is love. If you haven’t love, you haven’t truly lived. To truly live life to the fullest is to dive yourself into the ocean of love. Love is the very essence of true living life. Open up yourself to love, to compassion, to the depths of your heart. The world teaches you to withdraw from love, to be ‘protected’, impersonal, and dead objective, but God is calling you to go love and experience life. 1 John 4:12; John 13:34-35; 1 John 4:19;1 Corinthians 13:13
C) Rejoice Always: We often left out topic like this, to be happy, joyful and glad. A sad life is not a good life. A fullest life must thus include great joy and gladness. Philippians 4:4; John 16:33; 1 John 1:4; Psalm 118:24; 1 Thess 5:16
D) Be Thankful Always: An essential ingredient to living the life to the fullest is thankfulness. Jesus Christ always give thanks to God. Life is going to be very difficult if we cannot give thanks to the Maker. The happiest time is when we receive something we know we are most undeserved, and the ability to be thankful to the correct source is paramount. Colossians 2:6-7
E) Peace Actively: Peace is a divine quality that always follows those who actively stays in it. It is a divine gift that surpasses all understanding; we don’t earn it but we have to actively maintain it. Philippians 4:7; John 14:27
JESUS IS LORD
