Norah Chilaka
Area and Parish Pastor
Pastor Norah obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and after a brief period as a Biology teacher in Abuja, Nigeria, she relocated along with her family to the UK where she obtained her M.Sc in Molecular Biology and Vector Parisitology from the University of Salford in 2010. A teacher by training, Pastor Norah loves working with and caring for children; she specialises in Early Years education and has strong scientific and analytical skills with several years of varied experiences in teaching, care, counselling, charity administration and pastoral duties.
When Pastor Norah surrendered her life to the Lord Jesus at an early age of 12, her resolve to follow Him was total and she has sought to keep faith with that decision till date. Her early foundation years were laid through Scripture Union and Deeper Life Campus fellowship. For her National Youth Service, Pastor Norah served as full time missionary (Assistant Travelling Secretary) for the Scripture Union in Edo State, Nigeria. She fully joined the Redeemed Christian Church shortly before her wedding in 1994 and has continued to serve the Lord and His people in various capacities. She is a full Pastor in the mission and presently the Parish Pastor for Living Water Parish (Stoke-on-Trent). She is also an Area Pastor, in which role she oversees a group of parishes.
Pastors Marcus & Norah wedded on 15th January 1994 at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, in Lagos, Nigeria. Having both been born again early in their lives, it is understandable that they share a deep commitment to and partnership in Christian service. A desire to make heaven is a non-negotiable aspect of their lives together. Pastors Marcus & Norah both have Postgraduate Diploma in Theology and the Advanced Diplomas in Christian Ministry from Christ The Redeemer College. For both of them, it is a huge honour and privilege to be called to serve God’s people and they are committed to doing so faithfully all the days of their lives on earth.
Pastors Marcus & Norah are blessed with two daughters and two sons who are also growing in grace and progressing well along their own journeys of life.
