Text: Psalm 84: 11; Isaiah 28:5

Introduction: Today’s study is the continuation of the theme of the month “Kingdom Glory”. To experience a cloud of Kingdom Glory in this life can be described as the experience of great praise, source of honour, fame, an object of pride, distinguished admirations. It can also be referred to as being in a state of great splendour, magnificence or prosperity; a state of absolute happiness, gratification, contentment and rejoicing proudly.

This study aims to call our attention and remind us that we can experience the state of glory described above in this life as promised in the scriptures (Ps 36:8; Isa 28:5; Jer 29:11; John 10:10b). By His mercies, may we have these experiences of the Kingdom glory in our lives and endeavours in Jesus name; Amen.

What is required to Experience Kingdom Glory?

1. Knowing and acknowledging the custodian of Glory – For one to truly experience the kingdom glory such a person must have a personal encounter of salvation with God through Jesus Christ. Seeking and believing God alone, accepting His statues & ordinances, and acknowledging that He is the King of glory (Ps 24:7), all glorious (John 1:14), and dwells in glory (1 Tim 6:16). Matt.6:33; Heb 11:6; John 14:1; 14:11; Rom 10:14; I Cor 15:11; Heb 3:18; Jn 9:38; Heb 10:39; Isa 53:1; Luke 1:45; Acts 15:11; Gen 15:6; Ps 78:21-22; Ps 72:19; Deut 28:1.

2. Holiness – Our God is a Holy God without blemish or stains. Holy is His name, hence He commands us to be holy. Abiding in holiness avails us great access to be beneficiaries of the Kingdom glory, which our holy God hath promised everyone that has a personal relationship with Him. 1 Pet 1:15-16; Ps 87:1; Exo 30:29; Ps 99:9; Lev 20:7; Luke 1:74-75; Ps 145:17; Ps 105:42; Is 6:3; Is 43:15; Heb 12:14; Eph 1:4; 1 Tim 2:8

3. Obedience – The consequences of disobedience are grievous and only give the opposite of glory. There can never be a mistake in God’s instructions or commandments given to us as heaven-bound Christians, regardless how it sounds or appears to us. Whatever He says is for our interest and they afford us opportunity to experience the Kingdom glory in our lives and circumstances. Isa 1:19-20; 1 Sam 15:22; 12:15; Deut 13:4; Exo 19:5; 23:21-22; Rom 2:8-11; Deut 11:27; Rom 6:16; Col 3:20; Eph 6:1; Gen 22:18; Jer 12:17; 7:23; Job 36:12; 1 Pet 3:1;6; Heb 13:17: Ex 5:2.

4. Making Sacrifice for God – The scriptures gave us numerous instances of people who made sacrifices for the course of God. I dare say there is nothing we have in our possession or have control over that is too costly or valuable to forsake or sacrifice for God and the course of the kingdom. There are great rewards attached to the sacrifices we make, if we do not compromise. Heb 11:24-27; Dan 1:3-5;8-9;12; 18-20; Dan 3:26-30; 2 Sam 24:24; 1 Chro 21:24; John 12:3-6;; Esther 4:13-17; Philippians 3:7-8; 1 Tim 6:6; Mk 8:36; Luk 9:25; Rewards Pro 22:29; Ps 84:11; Ps 8:5; Isa 28:5; 58:8; Gen 45:13; 2 Chr 1:6-7;10; 1 Sam 2:1-2; Luke 1:49.

Conclusion

When the King of Glory steps into our lives and circumstances, we will never remain the same, because everything about Him is perfectly glorious. Let us command every gate in our lives to be lifted so that the King of glory may usher in an era of glory into our lives (Ps 24:7-10).
