The Redemption Community Centre

Pastor Pictures
Kearsley Chambers, Stoke-on-Trent

Kearsley Chambers used to be an office complex until approval was given by the Stoke-on-Trent City Council, in November 2006, for it to be used as a community centre and place of worship & administrative base for the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The top floor of the two-storey building is the main auditorium (King Solomon’s Hall) for the RCCG worship and other religious activities.

The left wing of the first floor houses the children’s department (Little Angels), while the right wing has a meeting room and the ministers’ office. On the ground floor is a conference room, a tea room and administrative offices. The Tea and Conference rooms are open for use by community groups and other organisations. It is planned that the Angels Corner would become a crèche in the near future. Other community-related activities that are proposed for the centre include the following:

- Counselling centre for family, marriage, social and general life issues (based on Christian ethos)

- Information point and resource centre for community-related programmes, such as housing, welfare, and social issues in   collaboration with relevant authorities and organisations.

The daily operations of the Redemption Community Centre are managed by Pastor (Mrs.) Norah Chilaka who serves as a full-time Head of Administration. She is supported by various volunteers. The centre is open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
